CHALLENGE #2

Crisis Management. A high-value global customer faced a production shutdown worth $60,000 per lost hour. They blamed equipment and engineering, and threatened penalties for lost revenue.

ACTION

I was dispatched into an emergency situation, joining a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and managers onsite. I collaborated with customers team to coordinate triage, daily communication, and milestone tracking, ensuring progress was transparent and plans were documented.

RESULT

After weeks of onsite support totaling $6-figure expenses, production resumed. I was the key point of contact and my company relied on me to make things right for this customer. I recommended to my company that we should take the loss. Why? Significant risks for penalties and litigation, weakening our reputation, and to strengthen the customer relationship.

We presented the idea to executive leadership. Leadership approved the $6-figure loss to the bottom line. The customer recognized our commitment, and considered us for new projects.

ACTION

While networking at an outside event where my target audience gathered, I connected with a like-minded business and formed a partnership. Together, we combined live string quartet music with ballroom dancing by hiring them to perform alongside us.

RESULT

The event generated buzz and customers invited their own guests, and our exposure grew through co-marketing with the partner brand. The collaboration created a memorable experience that deepened loyalty and expanded our reach.
